On November 29, 2018, First Vice Governor Aleksey Orlov awarded the winners of “The Best Young Worker of Military Industrial Complex Organizations of the Russian Federation within the Sverdlovsk Region” competition on the territory of the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMP). Alexander Kursov, a leading production engineer of the Ural Works of Civil Aviation, was among representatives of 33 enterprises. Alexander has been working at UWCA for more than five years. During this period, he has upgraded his skills from a production engineer of the 3rd category to a leading production engineer, completed advanced training courses in six different fields, and directly participated in the implementation of repair practice for several engine types following the Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Sverdlovsk Region for 2016-2030 targeted to improving competitiveness of the Sverdlovsk Region’s industrial complex and the Russian Federation in various spheres of industry. He has been awarded with a Certificate of Honor for significant personal contribution to the development of the repair procedure for PS-90 GP-2 engine. Due to these and other achievements, leading production engineer Alexander Kursov received the honored title of one of the best workers of the Sverdlovsk Military Industrial Complex.
“When I found out that I was marked at such a high level, I was surprised because my colleague, who achieved no less success, was nominated along with me. Of course, I was very glad to get the award because your job assessment of this kind encourages you to continue the started — to devote yourself entirely to what you do and try to conform the awarded title,” says Alexander.
The competition was held in order to develop the workforce and innovative capacity of military industrial complex enterprises located in the Sverdlovsk Region.
